Part of Jane McCracken's exquisite series of works entitled 'In Homage to The Last Great Carnivores of Eurasia' this piece features a Royal Bengal Tiger bathing in a pool in the Ranthambore National Park, India. Along with Albrecht Durer's 1496 drawing 'Landscape with a woodland pool' and Ivan Shishkin's painting 'The Forest of Countess Mordvinova' 1891 thee provide the inspiration for this wonderfully detailed multi-layered image With layer upon layer of imagery this remarkable artwork provides and endless opportunity for reflection and admiration.
This work, as with all the others in the series have been featured in a number of solo exhibitions and are the subject of considerable interest from Animal Conservation groups and collectors alike.
