The drawing explores a number of themes simultaneously, from Jung's 'Amfortas Wound' - mankind's propensity to repeat controversial actions, desperate an understanding of the consequences, to parallels with the Goldilocks and Three Bears fairy tale.

A time when the natural world was beginning to be plundered to satisfy man's curiosity and desire to hunt. With only 35 Amur Leopards estimated to be remaining in the wilds of Russia and a handful in China the picture for these wonderful creates looks bleak.
